About Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) AIT is a profoundly international institute. At its campus located 42 kilometers north of downtown Bangkok, Thailand, students live and learn together with distinguished faculty and researchers arriving from all around the world. English is the medium of instruction for all course work, and is the lingua franca for all campus activities. The Institute’s beautiful 160-hectare campus is a peaceful and safe setting for all our students.< Today, AIT is home to 2200 postgraduate students from more than 40 countries, 120 faculty members from 30 countries, over 100 research staff, 450 support staff, and over 400 research and outreach projects. AIT’s more than 17,000 alumni hail from over 80 countries. In addition to its new undergraduate program in Engineering, the Asian Institute of Technology is comprised of the School of Engineering and Technology, the School of Environment, Resources and Development, the School of Management, more than 30 established postgraduate programs, several research and outreach centers, and a continuing professional development center called the AIT Extension. About AIT undergraduate degree programs AIT undergraduate degree programs in science and engineering allow talented students to obtain world-class engineering and science degrees of exceptional quality. The programs offer international, career-focused curricula taught by AIT faculty, all of whom are internationally-recognized experts in their fields of study with years of experience in teaching and research at the master and doctoral levels.
